We collect the following types of information:

Account Information: Name, email address, and password (hashed)
DISC Assessment Data: Your responses to the 40-question DISC personality assessment and resulting profile scores
Session Data: Transcripts of mediation/therapy sessions (voice and text), AI-generated summaries, action items, and goals
Mood & Journal Data: Mood ratings, journal entries, and progress notes
Usage Data: Session frequency, feature usage, and app interaction patterns
Device Information: Push notification tokens (for mobile app users)

2. How We Use Your Information

Providing AI-mediated sessions with context-aware responses
Generating personalized DISC compatibility reports
Tracking mood trends and progress over time
Sending session reminders and notifications (with your consent)
Improving our AI models and Service quality
Communicating about Service updates

3. AI Processing & Third-Party Data Sharing

To provide our AI-mediated services, certain personal data is sent to third-party service providers for processing. Before your first session, the app will ask for your explicit consent to share data with these services. The following data may be shared:

Session transcripts & chat messages — sent to AI language model providers for generating mediator responses, summaries, and action items
DISC personality profile data — included in AI prompts to personalize mediation to each participant’s communication style
Mood ratings & journal entries — processed by AI to identify trends and generate insights
Uploaded documents — processed by AI to extract text for use as evidence in mediation

Third-party service providers:

Abacus.AI — AI language model processing for mediation responses, summaries, compatibility reports, and contract analysis. Data is processed per-request and is not used to train models.
AssemblyAI — Voice transcription and speaker identification for voice sessions. Audio is temporarily processed and not retained long-term.
ElevenLabs — Text-to-speech voice generation for AI mediator responses. Only session text is sent; no personal identifiers are included.

These providers process data solely to deliver our Service features and are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes, advertising, or model training.

4. Voice & Video Data

When using voice sessions, audio is sent to AssemblyAI for transcription and speaker identification. Audio recordings are temporarily stored for transcription processing and are not retained long-term. Text-to-speech responses are generated by ElevenLabs using the session transcript.

Video chat uses peer-to-peer WebRTC connections. Video and audio streams are transmitted directly between participants and are not recorded or stored on our servers.

4a. Document Uploads

You may upload documents (contracts, agreements, images, text files) during sessions or for contract dispute analysis. Uploaded documents are processed by AI to extract text content, which is then used as context for mediation. Document content is stored in our database for the duration of the session or dispute and is subject to the same retention and deletion policies as other session data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We share data only with:

AI Processing Partners: As described in Section 3, for session processing only
Session Participants: Other participants in your mediation sessions can see shared session transcripts and action items
Connected Partners: If you connect with a partner, they can see DISC compatibility reports
Licensed Therapists: If you opt into human therapist sessions (coming soon), your DISC profile and session history may be shared with your assigned therapist

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), secure token-based authentication (JWT), and encrypted storage for sensitive data.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal data, session transcripts, DISC profile, mood entries, journal entries, and any other stored information within 30 days.

8. Children’s Privacy

DISCpute Resolve is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information promptly.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate information
Request deletion of your data
Export your data (session transcripts, DISC profile)
Opt out of non-essential notifications

10. Cookies, Tracking & Advertising

We use minimal cookies for authentication (JWT tokens stored in localStorage/SecureStore). We do not track users for advertising purposes. We do not use Apple’s IDFA, Google’s Advertising ID, or any third-party advertising trackers. We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers. No data collected by this app is used for tracking as defined by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification.
